Fall Colors Are Here

Arborists say peak fall colors are arriving in the lower elevations. The parade of reds, yellows and oranges should be here by Halloween, really going strong starting around October 28th. ETSU arborist Travis Watson says the sustained coller tempeatures have definitely kicked off the change, so you should get out to see them as soon as you can. Watson says The Appalachian Highlands are home to an immense diversity of trees, with over 100 species of deciduous hardwoods, that generate a broad color palette.
