The city of Bristol, Tennessee, is ordering an unfinished hotel project to be torn down and scrapped altogether. The Tenneva Hotel property near West State Street and Shelby downtown was intended to be a 7-story Holidy Inn, with more than 100 rooms, a bar and a restaurant. Work has been stalled since 2018 and the building even partially collapsed in September of 2020. In the ordeer, the city noted that the building is clearly in a state of disrepair and unsafe.
