What a relief! Officer Emmaline Hulse of the Kingsport Police Department (KPD) was recently recognized with a Life Saving Award. A recent graduate of the Regional Law Enforcement Academy at Walters State Community College, Officer Hulse acted swiftly when a person at a diner started choking at a local restaurant a week ago.She was dining with fellow police cadets when the incident happened. Officer Hulse promptly administered abdominal thrusts to the choking individual, successfully clearing their airway and preventing further medical intervention.
