A Johnson City woman 51 year old rebecca Ray is charged with aggravated assault, abuse of an elderly adult, assault on a first responder and vandalism after assaulting an 84-year-old man with a hammer according to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies responded on Saturday afternoon to a home in Watauga after a 911 caller reported he had been assaulted and was bleeding. When they arrived they found the man covered in blood on his fae and arms.
