Johnson City Remote Workers

A program designed to incentivize remote workers to move to Johnson City brought 44 new families to the city, surpassing the goal of 30.The program offered cash incentives up to $5,000, as well as incentives like up to $500 off the purchase of a bicycle at Trek Bicycle, to full-time remote workers who met certain criteria and were interested in relocating to Johnson City. The program, which finished in June, was a joint effort between the Northeast Tennessee Tourist Association, the Northeast Tennessee Regional Economic Partnership and Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.
