The Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center that mainly services medicaid patients has received $75,000 in grant money to expand access to oral health care throughout Southwest Virginia.The clinic is 1 of 12 safety-net organizations to obtain funding from the Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation.The clinic opened in March 2020 with a mission of helping those in need the most.
