Beth Rhinehart, president and CEO of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce and known advocate for pushing to bring passenger rail back to Bristol, has now been appointed by Gov. Glenn Youngkin to serve on a state board.During a visit to Bristol in October, Gov. Youngkin told a crowd at the train station that he is in favor of bringing passenger rail back — which Rhinehart and transportation officials say is a great sign. Rhinehart says it’s good to know there could be financial backing for the project.
