More than $32,000 was stolen early Sunday from an ATM machine outside the Apex Bank branch at 3015 E. Andrew Johnson Highway, according to Greeneville police Officer Charles Story.Police were dispatched about 3:30 a.m. Saturday to check on an ATM alarm activation. A white Ford F-250 work truck was found at the scene.“Officers noticed a chain connected to the back of the vehicle with the door from the ATM attached to the other side of the chain,” the report said.
