A clinic in Bristol, Virginia, Healing Hands Health Center that helps the uninsured and underinsured is expanding.A ribbon cutting was held this week to celebrate the recently completed dental expansion. Officials say they were given a gift of $400,000 from J.D. Lorraine Nicewonder to expand the dental program.The expansion includes 4 new dental rooms, a second sterilization room, two new offices, and a second x-ray room.According to the American Dental Association, in 2020 there were only 29 dentists per 100,000 residents in Southwest Virginia.
