New data shows the Tri-Cities has the second tightest rental market in Tennessee. That’s as high prices and few vacancies squeeze renters.According to the Northeast Tennessee Association of Realtors, statewide, only Knoxville has fewer vacancies than the Tri-Cities. It’s been sitting around the 3 percent range, and just increased to 4 percent available. so prices are being driven higher with the starting rate at $1,650 per month.
