The Roan Mountain Citizens Club has done quite a bit to try to push state officials to reopen the pool at Roan Mountain State Park. Originally closed due to COVID-19, the park website now says it’s not feasible to reopen it and 11 other pools across the state, citing cost, age, and declining use.The next step for the citizens club: they’ve reached out to Sen. Rusty Crowe for a meeting with Gov. Bill Lee.
