Officials are warning about a scam using a sneaky approach to get people to give out their banking information.The scam was first reported in Smyth County and has since spread across parts of Southwest Virginia.It uses a scare tactic by sending mailers out, telling people to give out their banking information or their property will be seized unless money is paid out.Officials warn it’s a scare tactic.
