A marker was unveiled Sunday for 1900s suffragist, Eliza Shaut White, in Johnson City after finding out about her past in 2020.This marker is really bringing out the history of something we didn’t know about that occurred here in Johnson City,” Johnson City Commissioner, Jenny Brock said. Whirte’s granddaughter attended the event and says until the unveiling she didn’t know so much about the history of her grandmother.
