The Washington County, Tennessee commission has approved funding to move forward with a plan to buy new paper-based voting machines, but they delayed action to move forward on a new facility for the election commission.The $700,000 approved by commissioners will allow the election commission to request bids for new voting machines. That’s to meet a Tennessee requirement to move to paper voting by the 2024 election.
