Although the town budget is in the red by 267-thousand dollars, the Greeneville Board of Mayor and Aldermen rejected a proposed property tax increase Tuesday night.The draft budget called for a 6-cent increase, but the BMA said they did not want to raise taxes in the current economy.Alderman say now the job begins of finding ways to cut spending.
