To keep Independence Day fun and safe the city of Elizabethton is giving the public a reminder.Fireworks are prohibited in Elizabethton without a special permit.Three locations have been granted permits for fireworks displays this weekend.Those include the city’s fireworks show downtown from the Elk Avenue Bridge on Saturday night.Southside Christian Church will have a display on Sunday night.And on Monday night, Boyd Sports will have a fireworks display at Joe O’Brien Field.
