Virginia drivers may be seeing changes to prices at the Department of Motor Vehicles depending on the type of vehicle registered. It’s called the Mileage Choice program and it begins on July 1st. Officials say it involves getting a mileage device installed and it’s a voluntary option that allows drivers of fuel-efficient vehicles and electric vehicles to pay on a per-mile basis instead of an annual highway use fee. If you’re interested you need to apply for the program before getting registered.
