According to the CDC, drug overdoses kill more than 100,000 people in America every year. That’s more than vehicle crashes and gun deaths combined.The TBI created a Drug-Related Death Task Force in 2019 to help combat drug related overdoses in Sullivan County.TBI Asst. Special Agent in Charge, Chuck Kimbril said they work with local law enforcement agencies and non-profits in the community to help reduce drug related deaths. In just 202 reports indicate there were dozens of drug overdoses in Sullivan County, alone.
