The Bristol, Virginia school board has reaffirmed their commitment to consolidate the three oldest elementary schools and build a new one.The plan is to build onto the campus of Van Pelt to create a new intermediate school.It would combine Stonewall Jackson, Washington and Lee and Highland View.A new school hasn’t been built in 50 years.
