A man in Kingsport tried twice to escape law enforcement, but was evetually apprehended. The Kingsport Police Department’s (KPD) Vice and Narcotics Unit made an arrest after a vehicle pursuit and foot chase of a man wanted on an outstanding warrant in Sullivan County.A press release stated that KPD officers and agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spotted Christopher C. Hutson, 34, driving a black Cadillac SRX near South John B. Dennis Highway at Lincoln Street.When a KPD officer attempted a traffic stop, Hutson drove away,almost hitting an officer according to the release.He finally fled on foot acorss lanes of I-26 and ended up a ditch.
