The Tennessee Building Commission has approved the removal of the Nathan Bedford Forrest bust from the Tennessee State Capitol.The vote was 5-2, with Lt. Gov. Randy McNally and Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton voting no.Gov. Bill Lee has indicated the bust could be moved as early as this weekend. Plans are to relocate it to the Tennessee State Museum.Forrest was a cotton plantation owner who served as a Confederate general during the Civil War. He also served as the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
