It was a busy night for firefighters in Carter County late Sunday and early Monday as crews responded to three separate fires. First the Hampton/Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 200 block of Sims Hill Road. Upon arrival, firefighters could see flames visible from the roof. There were no injuries, but the house was a total loss. then a bit later, the Stony Creek Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a car fire in the area of Moores Chapel Church on Highway 91. and Finally, the Roan Mountain Volunteer Fire Department responded to Campbell Hall Road to a mobile home fire. The fire was located in the kitchen of the mobile home.
