There’s no explanation yet for what caused a fire to destroy a barn and killed about 140 chickens in Greene County Monday, according to authorities.A sheriff’s office report said the fire was in the 2000 block of Shakerag Road. A woman told police she heard a strange noise from the direction of the barn on her property. She then saw the barn engulfed in flames and called emergency services.The woman said the barn also contained several items intended for a home she planned to have constructed.
