The Johnson City Police Department is looking for multiple new officers to join the department.Registration is now open for the Police Officer Examination through February 26, 2021. That’s the first step in the department’s hiring process.New officers receive nine weeks of paid training at a police academy, followed by 16 weeks of on-the-job training with experienced field training officers.New officers will start on one of five patrol units and work 12-hour shifts.
