Tax Installed For New Attractions

(WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA) – Officials in one area county develop a new revenue stream.
Washington County leaders are giving developer Steve Johnson a 10 percent admission tax for a proposed entertainment complex at the Pinnacle. The board of supervisors approved the measure.
Johnson wants to bring an outdoor amphitheater, hotel, water park, and other attractions to the Virginia side of the Pinnacle. The tax will be charged on tickets purchased at the proposed attractions.
