1,000 Eastman Credit Union Members Report Credit Card Fraud

Nearly 1,000 Eastman Credit Union customers have been impacted by credit card fraud after unauthorized charges have been showing up on people’s accounts.

Credit union officials told News Channel 11 that a large amount of ATM PIN codes appear to have been compromised.

Eastman posted an alert on its website this week, saying fraud related to skimmers on some local gas pumps prompted the alert.

Officials say the fraud took place at ATMs and outdoor PIN pads- just how nearly 1,000 people’s card information got in the hands of criminals, though, remains unknown.
