Rogersville BMA Turns Down Water Survey Contract

The Rogersville BMA last week voted against immediate approval of a water system study contract that would bring the city’s Water Department back into state compliance.

The reason for the vote was the lack of a concrete cost.

The estimate for the survey came in at just shy of $50,000, but there was no final, actual cost given by the survey company.

That survey will look into -among other things- corrosion control, analyzing water from the Big Creek intake as well as sampling from a number of various tanks.
