Elizabethton City Council Unanimously Approves Deal with Twins

The Twins will officially be staying in Elizabethton for the near future.

The city council unanimously approved an agreement to keep the Twins in town last night.

That deal also means putting in more than $1.5M in facility upgrades and renovations at Joe O’Brien Field. The team is covering an additional $800,000 of the cost.

The deal means the Twins will stay in Elizabethton through at least the 2024 season, with a pair of five-year renewal options after that point.
