Bottler Closes BVA Plant

(BRISTOL, VA) — An area employer makes a move.

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated says it is going to close its Bristol, Virginia, facility and shift many of those jobs to Johnson City. The independent bottler plans to close its warehouse and distribution center on West State St. later this year.

The transition is expected in October. About 60 people currently work at the Bristol facility…50 are expected to transition to the company’s Wesley Street location in Johnson City.
