ETSU Holds First Football Scrimmage of Summer Camp

(JOHNSON CITY) For the first time this summer, the East Tennessee State Bucs will be strapping on the pads and playing the closest thing to a real game as they’ve done all camp.

The Bucs held their first preseason scrimmage at 10 a.m. at the team’s practice field. The Bucs bring back most of their starters from last year’s squad.

While most of the starting 22 spots may be already spoken for, Saturday’s scrimmage gives players a chance to make their case for added playing time.

ETSU opens up the regular season in three weeks on September 2nd against Limestone College.
