Thousands Turn out For Tri-Cities’ First-Ever Pride Parade

Thousands turned out in Johnson City Saturday for the Tri-Cities’ first-ever pride parade.

The hourlong parade made its way down Commerce Street to Founders Park, where there were vendors, live music acts, and information about LGBTQ organizations.

Some threats from protest groups forced police to add extra security, but no violence was reported.

The organizing group, TriPride, said there was at least 7-10,000 people at the event.
