McGlothlin Case Goes To Grand Jury

(WYTHE COUNTY) – A grand jury will now consider the case of a Wythe County teenager, accused of killing another teen and his adult friend.

In back-to-back court hearings, 19-year-old Dylan McGlothlin waived his right to preliminary hearings on six felony charges, including two counts of capital murder related to the 2017 shooting deaths of 17-year-old Aidan Dawson and 24-year-old Raymond Rodriguez.

Grand jurors will likely hear evidence in the cases in October. If they return indictments, the trial will be held in Circuit Court. If McGlothlin is convicted of capital murder, he could face the death penalty.
