Historic Johnson City Home, Contents Up For Auction

Nearly 300 people came out for an auction in Johnson City Saturday morning.

But not just any auction- items from the old ‘Robin’s Roost’ home on S. Roan Street were up for bids, as was the house itself.

That home, built back in 1895, once housed former Tennessee governors- and brothers- Alf and Bob Taylor. Everything inside the home, from furniture, paintings and chandeliers to basic fixtures were up for grabs.

There was only one bid on the home, and it was for half its apparaised value- so as of now, it remains on the market.
