Kingsport Bar Loses License

(KINGSPORT) – The owners of the Hog Wild Saloon in Kingsport, closed since a fatal shooting in March, gives up its liquor-by-the-drink license.

The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission entered into an agreed order with the bar. The state liquor board began investigating the business after Brett Rodgers of Kingsport was shot and killed on March 2 inside the bar.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of 16-year-old William Newkirk. The license was voluntarily surrendered for 10 months.
