Jones Case Update

(GREENEVILLE) – Defense motions, to suppress signed statements given to TBI agents by Erick Eugene Jones Jr., are denied.

The statements were given by Jones after the December 2014 deaths of two little girls in the Greeneville house where he lived.

Still to be heard at an upcoming hearing is testimony about other statements given by Jones to the Greeneville Police about Jones’ alleged role in the Dec. 17, 2014, deaths of 13-month-old Kynsleigh Easterly and 2-month-old Trinity Brooke Tweed. The state intends to seek the death penalty for Jones.
