Greeneville Traffic Stop Leads To DUI Arrest

(GREENEVILLE) — A traffic stop Thursday morning for a broken taillight leads to the driver being arrested for DUI.

Police say Nicholas Shepherd was pulled over on Main Street at Baileyton Road and when an officer approached his vehicle Shepherd gave off an odor of alcohol and there was an open beer can on the back seat

According to an arrest report Shepherd did admit to drinking before he was pulled over.

He was booked into jail on $2,000 bond pending a Friday court appearance.
