Community Gathers For Memorial Blood Drive

ELIZABETHTON — The community came together Thursday at a blood drive to remember a woman killed in a recent fire.

The first annual Dana Keeling blood drive is named for the woman who died from smoke related injuries resulting from a fire at her Pine Ridge Circle apartment last month.

Keeling’s 3-year-old daughter Sara Keeling also died from her injuries from the fire.

Dana’s mother Emma Grindstaff says her daughter was an active participant in every blood drive she could attend even through she could not give blood herself.
