Officer Involved Shooting Deemed Justified

BRISTOL, Tenn. — A Sullivan County grand jury finds the July fatal shooting of a man by Bristol police was justified.

Police say Jonathan Justiss was shot after he pulled a weapon on officers who were trying to arrest him at the Speedway Inn on Bluff City Highway on multiple warrants.

Court records show Justiss had a lengthy rap sheet including a 2011 armed robbery conviction in Bristol, Va.
